| | | Why Romania?
Romania is a unique natural paradise because of the geography and the climate. You can choose from many diverse activities and there are many fascinating places to visit. You can take trips to untrodden regions, with high mountains, caves and crystal clear mountain waters. The cities are full of museums and art galleries , the architecture is unique and different from town to town. The mediaeval fortresses are very well preserved, also the wonderful monasteries built in byzantine and gothic styles and those with murals on the outer walls. Every region of the country has it's own traditions and house decorations, but one thing is the same all over the country - people are always friendly and happy to have new guests.
Maybe one of the most famous attractions in Romania is the Dracula Castle, but this is only one of the many castles and impressive palaces which can be seen.
In Transylvania you can take part in the local festivals that still keep alive the Romanian folklore. At these fairs you can purchase unique wooden sculptures and pottery as very special souvenirs.
